He inquired about parents apologizing to teachers for their children’s misbehavior, blaming the misbehavior on parents’ failure to give children their medication in the morning. He asked about antipsychotic medication. So we discussed the increase in bipolar diagnoses and concomitant increase in antipsychotic meds and polypharmacy (taking 3 or 4 medications simultaneously) and lack of studies on long-term effects and lack of approval for children.
